Google suspended Adsense without reason - NOT REPLYING

i got my adsense account suspended on 29th of April.

lemme start from the beginning.
my site did not generate any more than a 100 clicks a day. but on 25th April it generated 28000 clicks!!
VERY OBVIOUSLY someone used a bot on adsense on my site.

I mailed google IMMEDIATELY UPON NOTICING THIS.
The email i sent out was: (yea, its unprofessional but what the heck!)
--
Subject: sabotage attempt
Date: Tue, 26 Apr 2005 02:51:47 -0000

i strongly feel that my account with you is being targeted by someone who
doesnt want me to stay in business.

i got 28000 clicks on ads on saturday which by no means compares to the
number of clicks i generally get which is just around 100.

I just wish to clarify my position that i was in no way involved in this
bizarre clicking and if google wants it can confiscate my earnings for the
day.

But do look out as to who is the person clicking like this on my ads
because ultimately it will be ME who will be blamed for click-fraud.

After 1 day (on April 27th) i got Google's reply, saying:
--

Hello xxxxx,

Thank you for bringing this information to our attention. We have noted
your input and will continue to monitor the situation.

In order to prevent abuse of the AdSense program, Google utilizes both
automated systems and human reviews to monitor clicks on the ads. Google's
technology analyzes clicks to determine whether they fit a pattern of
invalid use intended to artificially drive up an advertiser's clicks or a
publisher's earnings.

We look forward to your continued participation in Google AdSense. If you
have any additional questions, please feel free to respond to this email.
We will be happy to help in any way we can.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

"fair enough" i though and got back to work.

Come April 29th and Google suspended my account
I GOT NO MAIL WHAT-SO-EVER FROM GOOGLE'S SIDE!

on being contacted as to why my account was suspended/cancelled, Google replied with:

--

Hello xxxxx,

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the ads on your web pages. We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please find our email of April 28, 2005 attached below:

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks on any ad(s), including but not limited to clicks generated by a publisher on his own web pages, clicks generated through the use of robots, automated clicking tools, or any other deceptive software.

Practices such as these are in violation of the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions and program policies, which can be viewed at:

www.google.com
www.google.com

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

I was obviously disgusted with this reply. When i had informed google beforehand that a bot had INDED been used on my site by someone else and even asked them to confiscate my payment for that day and investigate the matter, all Google does is to kick me out!

i have mailed them 4 times in past four days. The last of my mails being a hate-mail:
---

i am really sorry to say that google is not at all transparent in its activities and it seems there is some serious communication gap between your deprtments.

while one dept. mails me and assures that "We have noted
your input and will continue to monitor the situation.", the other dept notices the SAME thing (that of invalid clicks being generated) and suspends my account!

i would appreciate if you could a good reason for suspending my account other than the "invalid clicks" which i already complained you about and even asked you to take away my payment for that day. (As a proof i am replying to the same mail in which you have replied to my complaint).

i guess i have a valid point here, and my suspension should be revoked as soon as possible.

Just for the records, google has not replied to last three of my mails. i sincerely wish and hope that this wont be the fourth.

Thx for reading
xxxxxx

----

Could it be that Google is not replying because it KNOWS that its at fault here and ADMITTING it is getting too difficult? :-S

What can i do?

Can anyone PLEASE advise?

THX

Death to the Winteloogleopoly!

Seriously, that blows. Since your emails aren't being effective, I'd suggest making contact w/ a real person. Is there a phone # you can call or a different dept. you can work with (like the Public Relations people)? You might also try writing a real letter to Google, especially if you can find a good contact name. There's other things, such as contacting the BBB or writing a letter directly to the CEO but those may or may not do any good.

The only other thing I can think of is just to keep pestering them and don't let them off the hook; keep copies of all your correspondence and records of what they've told you and when, plus how often you don't get a response.

one of my freinds said almost the same. he said mail at EVERY support dept. google has. "contact us" .. "help" bla bla whatever.

let the issue spread, once it becomes a news u are in for a win (maybe).

btw, whts the "BBB" ?

and yea, working on your suggestion i mailed them again
(but since i have a Gmail account, cant they jus login and delete records!! LOLL) kiddin

Hello xxxxxxx,

Thank you for your reply explaining your situation.

As you know, Google treats instances of invalid click activity very
seriously. We have reviewed your circumstances and determined that you are
not responsible for the most recent activity. We have reinstated your
account, effective immediately. However, there will be a delay before ads
start running on your website. It may take up to 24 hours before all of
our servers are informed of the change.

Thank you for clarifying your situation. We appreciate your patience, and
apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please feel
free to respond to this email.

Sincerely,

Monica

Well it might had been painful for you during that short period of time. But if you think retrospectively, whatever happened, happened for good... Google might have disabled your account for precautionery measures and would have investigated the whole issue.

Moral of story is, if you are true, there might be some pain, but its not the end.

All the best!

alcedo will become famous soon enough
After reading and hearing about Adsense. I somehow think that Google has been cheating people to host free adverts on their sites >_< ok maybe not all, but mostly.

Re: Google suspended Adsense without reason - NOT REPLYING

I just had the same thing happen to me only I did not catch the 28,000 and some odd clicks until after the fact. The clicks happened on September 1 and I was suspended last week.

So far, I have not received any replies to my emails, as well.

Not sure whether to raise a ruckus or be cool and patient at this point.
