How can I make the program end after a key is hit?

Ok so I'm not a programmer. I just finished making an engineering optimization program in Visual C++ 6. It's just a command line program nothing fancy. When I run it from Visual C++ it has the built in press any key but when I go to click the executable it flashes by and closes the prompt window.

If you go to the command prompt manually it doesn't know how to run the exe. I need help. My teacher has to be able to run and SEE the program

Thanks again

Stack Overflow will become famous soon enough
Hello,

One of the senior members here, WaltP, wrote a tutorial on this. You can find it here: Pausing a Program to See the Output

Hope this helps.
