How about putting some links in a popular forum like this one. <edited - please create a signature> Last edited by Div : 19-Apr-2005 at 13:46.

Hello Div, four star administrator (did you earn medals too???), I must have missed a few rules or something, but I would like to put the link to my homepage in the signature. However, I am not allowed to put a signature. Can you tell me what I must do to do that? Also, do you know when googlebot comes to your site? If he comes, please send him a private message from me, including a link to my site. Tnx. Steven |

It's difficult. I have been tracking googlebot for years but he's a bit too fast for me. It's the bot that indexes webpages. So I have been experimenting with "chasebot". It's made to chase googlebot :-P. It acts by residing in a website and then waiting until googlebot :-P arrives. If it does, the chase begins. If I ever catch googlebot , I'm going to imprison it in my webpage. ![]() |

From the User Control Panel click on "Edit Signature". I would also suggest checking out the FAQs for forum rules.

Thanks for reply. But, are you mean poutting my website's link in this forum or put a link in my website to this forum? Is there any other thing that i can do to increase the page ranking beside this? Thanks!! |

Also perhaps putting more valuable content on your website will work and put combinations of keywords that aren't used very much, such as "the dutch jewellerry" (dutch AND jewellerry aren't used very often in combination with each other). Do this and wait until your webpage is indexed then search google.net for "dutch jewellerry". You will find that your page will be shown very high. "online attention test" is another example, it's what I use for my homepage. www.aq-test.com Oh yes I just got another idea! Why don't you put a few misspelled words into your homepage, such as jewelerry. A few people with low education, such as me would type these words and find your homepage on top! You might also put a HTML file such as this: <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>jewelerry is misspelled, it's jewellerry</TITLE> <META keywords="jewelerry"></META> </HEAD> <BODY> You misspelled jewellerry on a search engine: <A href="">redirect me to the best jewellery of the internet</A> </BODY> </HTML> Ofcourse you must also link to this file on your homepage, so that bots will find it. (but real users don't) (oh yes, don't use redirect, they say that is bad for googlebot) You should analyse which keywords are keywords that are very famous and keywords that are not. For example, if there are 5000 jewelleries that are around on the internet, putting jewellery number 5001 will make it difficult to get your page high. |
