You can try finding the program in "Add/Remove Programs" under Control Panel, or you might try an uninstaller program like Norton SystemWorks or V-Com System Suite. Since it came along on free-ware, the spyware programs like Spybot or Ad-Aware may also be able to help.

that plug-in is not a spyware, i am sure! when i installed a software, it is installed as a 3rd party software, actually that plug-in does nothing but add a button to your IE which would lead u to its webpage. it's may not do harm to my pc, but i just dont like it! i cant find it in the control pane and the Norton Sys. seems cant find that plug-in.

i am going to try v-com!!! thx for telling me!!
BTW, does it possible to remove these plug-in manually?

Possibly. It depends on whether it was included as a seperate file with the download. If it's a seperate file, then it (theoritically) shouldn't be too difficult to find it and del it manually or w/ an uninstaller program. If it's embedded or built into the actual program you installed, then it may not be possible, or at least involve Registry editing and other hack jobs.

Also, your new program may not work properly if the plug-in isn't available. The license agreement may talk about it, or the website for the program (if available).

i am quite sure that the plug-in's disappearance wont affect my new program. i have tools which could tell me the CLSID of the plug-in, and i find the reg-key of the CLSID, but i dont know how to edit the reg-key. i cant just dell that entry, do i ??

Before you do anything w/ your Registry, make sure you back it up. If you're using XP, it's easiest to just make a System Restore point. And the usual disclaimer: "Working on your Registry can be detrimental to your system. Be sure you know what you're doing and make backups of all vital information. If you're unsure of something, leave it alone."

Once you've found the key in RegEdit, you should be able to set the value to "0", "False", or whatever; it should disable it. Otherwise you can delete it, but I don't know what the consequences might be (it could be tied to something else and bring down your system). Just make sure you search the entire Registry for the compoenent to make sure all references are disabled. If you have any problems, just restore your system.

thx a lot! finally i got rid of that pest and, meanwhile made a discovery.
In every windows system there is a COM, which CLSID is
{1FBA04EE-3024-11D2-8F1F-0000F87ABD16}, gives the IE the ability to add a button to ur IE toolbar.

Interesting. Though I don't use IE, that is good to know; I wonder if the other browsers have something similar or if it's part of the IE-Windows integration.
