E Mail Forwarding

:-(
Help Please!

I use Outlook Express and Outlook as my E Mail programs.

When I receive an E Mail with a picture or Image in it and then Forward it to my friends on my E Mail list, they tell me all they receive is a box with a red "x" in it.
What am I doing wrong? Is the problem in my setings?
Thanks,

Hello nikkotash,

In MS Outlook click:

Code:
Tools > Options

then look for:

Mail Format, Internet Format... and check the HTML Options for a setting for sending pictures in your messages.

I am not using Outlook Express these days but I can imagine that the setting is somewhere in the program too..

Let me know if that's not it...

Sending pictures with Outlook Express solution.

Dear nikkotash, I came onto this site to find an answer to the same question you had....why can't I forward pictures in my Outlook Express email? All my receipents receive is a red "x" in a box. I didn't REALLY find the answer I was looking for, but did find a starting place, and then I did some "clicking" on my own. Now, I'm no computer geek, and I don't have a lot of computer knowledge except how to send an email and maybe make some occasional greeting cards. But this is what I did, and it worked!!!

I opened Outlook Express, clicked on Tools, then Options, selected Send, found Mail Sending Format, made sure HMTL was selected, THEN (the KEY to this whole process...) clicked on HTML Settings. (right next to HTML) Then checked Send Pictures with Messages. And Voila! It worked! I confirmed this first by forwarding a message with pic to myself, then by forwarding it to friends and they said they got the picture. Thank God! Hope this helps.

re: Sending pictures with Outlook Express solution.

Hello lactator,

Thank you for adding to the thread with Outlook Express specific information. I am sure someone, somewhere, someday will appreciate this.
