adCenter - Microsoft's new PPC platform

Seems the recent (last week) release of Microsoft's new paid-search solution has slipped through without as much fanfare. In the short term it probably isn't good news for advertisers using Overture as it will probably mean you gotta open another account to get MSN traffic, but the fragmentation may drive down some prices. MSN in its releases mentions that it will still continue to use Overture for some results.

The MSN adCenter platform will be tightly integrated with other future capabilities to give advertisers a single point from which to plan and execute campaigns. Microsoft is promising some very interesting (for the the online world) in-depth audience demographic info including location, gender, age group and lifestyle segment.

tycooner is on a distinguished road
I'd rather not be party to MS spying on people. Google I have no problem with, as they've earned their right to become sole dictator of the world, but MS prefers to borrow ideas from other companies, distort them, and spit out an insecure lookalike. I'm sticking with Google for my ad displays, and should I ever want to put my own ad out there I'll probably use Google.
