Hello from WalesHi, just a quick post to introduce myself, I am an old fan of GFX demos and I am active in the demo scene, currently I use Blitz and other basic languages to code my stuff but I'm looking to get more performance out of my PC and smaller executables and I figure that C or Asm would be the best way to go.
I don't fancy Asm that much as most of the stuff I'll be doing will be Windows based so I am looking to get help in learning C++ , my objectives are pretty simple and I'm looking to getting a good grounding in C++ syntax so that I can port my 3D stuff over to C++. Hoping that I'll get some help with this! I promise not to be too annoying! |

Hello Nick and welcome to GIDForums™.
I saw your post in the c++ forum. C/C++ is definitely the way to go over assembler for many reasons, including portability and ease of use. I have never used gfx, but I will look into it a bit and see if I can find anything. Alot of times in C you need to look for a library or toolkit that will help you in doing things like this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay here at GIDForums™. __________________
