I've held off for as long as I can. I've ripped out all of my hair.
I'm trying to create an overlapping image popup in css, I've tried every single method I could come up with/find online. All of these methods work beautifully in everything other than explorer (surprise, surpeise) my code validates, and I'm crying into my beer.
If anyone could help, I will offer the next 7 generations of my family as slaves in return. Here is the url of the test page www.knownothingfamily.org

Looks the same in IE as in Firefox and Opera. Small pic shows on rollover.

Yeah, it's fixed now. I posted the same question to the CSS list. Here's the fix for anyone that wants to know

a:hover { background-position:1%; }

I guess any change to the background state will trick IE into cooperating with :hover on child tags.
