I'm looking for my own merchant account, because I think it would be better if I use my own merchant account instead of 3rd party.
I'm located in Indonesia (South East Asia).
And how many volume considered as high volume? Is it 10K per month is high volume? Ok then, let's say that number for my volume.
Please advice.

It all depends on the type of service, products. For some, $10,000 is not that high. And depending on your sales / services, you are looking at anywhere from 3%-8% in a discount rate

Any hint for the providers for me?

Actually one of the providers I know, they board everyone on their third party platform that performs under $30G a month. I am not certain, but Worldpay also might be an option

You are right! Having your own merchant account is alot better than having a thrid party merchant account. Plus if your business is high risk than a high volume merchant account would be way better than a normal one as you will not have to worry about it being shut down because of the high volume sales. Hi there. I agree, knowing whether your your volume is high or not is really dependent on the kind of site that you run. For high-risk sites (adult, gambling, pharmacy, MOTO (mail order/ telephone order), travel and the like), $75K is considered high volume.

As for the service provider, I personally like http://www.emerchantpay.com. They let you choose either your own merchant account or one that goes through them. I think the one that let you handle your own merchant account is called paydirect or directpay or something like that.

Hi I don't believe that 10k is very high, but then again it depends on the business or merchant account provider. In the past when I was processing 5k/month I used www.imglobalpayments.com to get my merchant account. I really liked working with them because considering my processing wasn't so high, I got a lot of personal attention for my business.
