Edit MBR or GRUB commands?Hi, I've just installed Fedora Core 3 on a brand new drive, partitioned and configured as 'MASTER'. I configured my old XP drive as 'SLAVE'. I was under the impression that when Fedora installed it would auto-detect the presence of the XP system and add a boot option to GRUB. When I boot Linux and pause for boot options, I get 2 options 1) Fedora and 2) Other. When I select 'other' there are 2 commands that will execute. they are:
1) rootnoverify (hd0,0) 2) chainloader +1 What do I need to add or change to get xp to load so I can access the internet to inquire about a few other things that did not auto-detect (modem, sound card e.t.c.) Thanks |

Close this thread. I've decided to rearrange the disk drives and use Windows Boot manager.
