iam new member in this forum.
Please can you tell me if it is possible to get merchant account for members like me. I live in Jordan. I think it is better to me to have my own merchant account than using third parties companies..
maybe iam wrong coz iam not expert .. iam still beginner..

And i have an idea about selling holy water coz its available here (Holy water for Christiants people " ..
If holy water is not available in europe and usa i like to sell it online as i expect there will be a lot of customers..

Hello...Actually getting Merchant acc doesn`t depend on that are you a newbie or a pro ;-)
Anyway merchant acc is difficult to operate, so think twice, before choosing merchant acc instead of 3pp. I can`t see any problem for ya to get merchant acc. IUf you have any questions ask here, we`ll try to answer.. ;-)

I will try to get Merchant account..But if i can get it online, then i guess that will be better..

I'm using paypal. There's no up front cost and the fee is reasonable. They even have a referral program that offers residual income for a year.

When I signed up for PayPal I was able to start accepting credit card payments instantly. They now give the purchaser the option to sign up for a paypal account or just use their credit card to purchase items. This is great because there is no longer a delay waiting for email verification and such.

I closed 100's of sales using paypal and have had no problems thus far.

Are you also in Jordan? Currently, Jordan is not listed on Paypal's website as being acceptable

I`ve heard that paypal from now on doesn`t require to be registered with them to process payments, anyone knows if that`s true?

Yes - Paypal changed this for US Business and Premier accounts in February 2004. They added a few more countries in January 2005 for merchants.
