Microsoft users warned of serious flawMicrosoft has issued it's highest warning to all windows operating system users from Windows 98 to Windows XP. A flaw exists in all versions that could allow root access to ANY computer.
Windows Versions Affected: Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me) Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows XP There is an article about it here: http://www.siliconvalley.com/mld/sil...ws/5430593.htm So go to windows update now and get it sorted since the time between announcements and attacks is getting a lot shorter. Thanks guys I'll take a look at this. I'm really big on Security well as big as you can be on Microsoft. But this sound about there speed I'm really surprised that I haved gone the way of Unix or Linux. I think the only answer is that I play a lot of games and I'm not to sure about a Unix or Linux Box for that. Well Thanks again guys.

I said 'bugger it' and finally updated everything - incredible (for a dialup connection) but true... it was one of those opportune-good-connection days
