What's causing this white patch?

4.Keep it realistic.If during a lesson a teacher decides to punish you,don't start being all smart by refusing to <br> carry out the punishment,claiming that "it's a game and you can't make me."<br>If you feel that you need not roleplay properly because it's a game,then feel free to leave.Otherwise we'll just make you.<br>
5.OMG LIEK d0n''t p05t liek dis!   You are allowed to use letters in place of words like u & r (although this is discouraged)<br>,but know when to stop.<bR>
6.No set of rules is complete without the "have fun" comment at the end.<br></center>

Looking through them I can't see anything that would cause that.And I know that it's not problems with my background image because it works fine here:

Can anyone help?

First off, why are you using that particular DOCTYPE declaration (XHTML/Strict) in your markup? Look at your <br> tag for example, it's not even XHTML! There are of course other errors, according to this page, http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...pg%2Frules.htm , there are 139 errors.
