once u get that error message, just click send again and your mail will be sent away and as long as u remain online all mails will be sent without any errors. if u log off the internet and get online again, u will see that u (once again) have to click twice to send yahoo mail out thru outlook.
hope this solves ur problem. |

It didn't work. I click send/recieve and it goes to connect to the server, and thinks and thinks, and finaly it fails that task and under the errors tab it says unable to find server, I click send again and it still doesn't work.

No, the message still does not get sent. Strange huh. What version of MS Office do you have, Outlook 2000 but what service release?

what is exactly the error message that u get?
i assume u are using ms outlook 2000, what happens if u use Outlook Express instead? I also hope ur internet connection is on when u click SEND; and NOT auto-dialling and auto-shutting down when mail is being sent. |

FYI I also have my f2s mail set up in outlook 2000 and it doesn't work either.
The error message is "Unable to connect to the server. (Account:'My Yahoo! Mail', smtp server:'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Error Number:0x800ccc0e)." What you you mean by auto shutting down, I don't think I am but who knows, I am not auto dialing. I get the same error (aproximately) in Outlook Express, same Error Number. Nick |

ok, a bit of a strange one this but first we have to figure out what this error code means.
so, looking at this table, we now know that u are experiencing server connection problems. according to some it maybe limitations set by your ISP (to prevent spamming), so suggest writing to them to find out more. also, u may try this, microsoft's email troubleshooter. |

for F2S mail SENDING u have to use your ISP's smtp mail server (if u are not already aware of this).
iow, if your ISP's mail server is smtp.mail.myisp.com, this is what u would fill-in in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" field of Outlook 2000. This is the ONLY exception, everything else is exactly as described in F2S. |

Well, after going and reading the f2s thing all I can say to myself is DUH. Microsoft's site was OK, but if you're in a hurry I wouldn't recommend it. What ISP don't allow you to use a different SMTP server? Which ones do?
