Can you post me an error message if you are getting one. I can take a look at that and see if I can help.

You might try looking at the startup files via msconfig; go to the Start menu, choose "Run...", then type "msconfig". One of the tabs should be for your startup programs. Make sure the ones you want running are enabled. There are some other settings/tabs that may help you figure out what's going on, so take a look at them to make sure everything appears normal. If you don't know what you're doing, then look but don't touch.
You can also double check your Startup folder and make sure your apps are listed correctly. They may have gotten corrupted or deleted somehow. Can you at least load them manually or do they not load at all? __________________

Have you checked for viruses, spyware/adware, etc.? You may have something that affects your startup files. You can also try using MSCONFIG to manually go through each app and see if it will boot "semi-automatically"; remove the checks in all the boxes then manually put in one check on an app prior to a reboot. It takes a very long time but there may be one application that is causing problems.

Do the individual programs have options that allow for run-at-startup or did you manually put them into the Startup Folder?

yes of course! i put them in my Startup Folder, and i can load them manually from the Startup Folder after my pc finished startup!
this is really strang...i am using Norton AntiVirus 2005, so i am quite sure that my pc is not virus infected! i wonder what will the Microsoft staff do if they encountered problems like this? go and ask Bill??? |
