phpMyAdmin - Can no longer connect to it. (WIN2K).After loading MySql, I enjoyed access to its tables simply by typing into the browser's URL: "localhost". Mysteriously, it took me to phpMyAdmin, where I could toy with the MySql tables.
But I ran into some problems with MySql and did something at the command line to change things because now I cannot do my neat trick and access phpMyAdmin any more. I suspect I punched in "--old-passwords" somewhere and the password length may be the culprit. Any suggestions to help me out? Thanks. |

Are you getting any phpmyadmin page at all
or an access denied page? Have you tried with no usernae and no password? |

Like I said, I would open the browser (firefox in my case), type into the URL "localhost", hit enter, and voila - phpMyAdmin 2.5 would just open up.
I just happened upon this route. Is there another you can tell me pkease? In answer to your question then, what parameters I enter - none! I suppose it just takes my administrator login data when I log on to WIN2K. But - my question is - what could have changed this, and it no longer allows me access to the mysql database? |
