I'd switch to GMail... they have a good POP3 server as well as SMTP. I could send you an invitation if you want.

maybe you don't know that yahoo mail needs server autentication to send mails. I don't know how it works under others mail client, but i can tell you that with outlook, it's really easy. You should go on tools--->account--->email--->properties---->server and check the "server autentication" checkbox. (i don't know if the path i wrote is correct...i have the italian version of outlook...this is just a fast translation, but i hope it could be helpful )
Changing email address always means telling everybody you have another address....i think it's stressing, so i hope you can fix it
