help your fellow gamerhi all.
Me and a group of students are building a RPG with C++ for our senior porject. My job is to find a way to make a text box, that will pop up on the screen, say stuff, then vanish. It has to be programed to pop up on certian events. basically, i need to make something that will mimic the text system of FFVII-IX. Now i applogize if i got the wrong forum, and im not asking for you to do my project for me, but any help you can give me and my team mates will be greatly appreceated. so if you could point us to a site that could help; give us tips; and donate files; it would be alot of help. ps: our graphics guy has a program where we can move a sprite accross a screen, and run into walls... much fun. every thing i know about C++ and our project i have posted... as you can see I'm in dire need of help. hi,
this is a good site for game developers.. http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/default.asp check it out. Quote:
i don't how it look like in FFVII-IX, if u want a txt box pop up and closed after a while, you can creat a dialog box, put an edit box in the dialog or even use a tooltip. it depends on how you want it to be... __________________
