Problems with HTT files on Windows MEI am looking at a friends PC Compaq PIII 128mb ram with Windows ME. Any time you try and browse a folder you get an error message along the lines of an error has occoured in the script in file://C:\WINDOWS\Web\controlp.htt (for control panel). I have been searching for around 2 hours and tried renaming / recreating the files, running regsvr32 webvw.dll using Tweak UI all to no avail. I seem to start well but then fall down when the solution required that I run something from a folder!
Has anyone heard of a corrupt regsvr32 webvw.dll? Can I download another copy? Alternatively I could upgrade to XP (I have more memory to go in). Is it possible to do this without reinstalling all of the other software? |
