How do you set up OE 6.0 and hotmail? Is it the same as OE 5.0?

Interesting Hotmail Fact

This is just kinda interesting so here it is:
I head from some people that hotmail had really changed in the last couple of years. So I decided to give it another try and I signed up for an account and it didn't seem that different. Anyway I have told noone this new e-mail address, yesterday I logged in just for the heck of it, I had 459 new e-mail messages, all junk. Moral of the story, DON'T USE HOTMAIL.

459 messages!!!

Anyway, i remember that on registering, ur setting to be listed in the Hotmail Member Directory is ON by default. This used to be the ONE sure way of attracting spammers...

On checking it today, I found that they no longer 'show' the email address on the directory, so it must be something just recently changed.

Unfortunately it may have happened after the fact of your registration!

I must say I have an email address at hotmail (for nearly 3 years now) that doesn't even attract a fly...

I remember being very very careful about that and not being added to the member directory or any of those other "useful" features.

Hehe...I never got ANY spam at Hotmail until I signed up for newsletters. Even though I unsubscribed to those newsletters eventually, I'm still getting lots of spam. Especially porn sites...It's very strange because these newsletters seem to have given our info away to 3rd party affiliates.
