Any1 know if there is a need to load any ______-ODBC bridge driver when doing Access database programming using visual basic?

From wat i know, there is a need to load JDBC-ODBC bridge driver then establish database connection.. when using Java

So is there a need to create such bridge driver when programming in VB instead of Java?

Desperatly in need of help!!! :-?
