Question

Your favorite Control Panel

Hello,

Both customers and host should have experience with different hosting software. So my question is "Do you have a favorite hosting Control Panel?"

You may vote for your favorite hosting software.

Best Regards
D.

IMHO, Ensim is probably my least favourite and I have never used HSphere or Helm. My preference would be Plesk, CPanel and Directadmin (in that order).

To be honest I'm not impressed of Ensim at all. It among the most popular hosting software but it is to heavy. It uses files, but not databases and it takes too much of the CPU resources. It uses databases only for ocunting traffic.

Regards
D.

My company offers plesk 7.5.1 reloaded. I think it is one of the most appealing control panel solutions. Have used Ensim, Cpanel and a number of custom control panels before becoming a hosting company and Plesk has won our trust.

Overall performance, resource consumption, security, stability and reliability are what have made us opt for Plesk.

Mine is CPanel... and get ready for this: I have no idea why! Ok, maybe because it's the one I started out with so I am more comfortable using it.

Recently I am using DirectAdmin and though funky, it seems to be missing a few things that I took for granted in CPanel.

My favorite: FTP via WebDrive ;-) I prefer direct access as if the site is a drive on my computer.

I like to have the control, and since I don't have a user base I don't have a need for "easy", just accurate.

J's favorite CP, cPanel is obviously the one that faces approval from most people worldwide.

I'll certainly vote for CPanel, it is easy to use and more stable. I'm just wondering on what are the weaknesses of this control panel. Any idea?

Regards,

Jeremiah Anderson

Paradoxic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I prefer Cpanel as, as biased as it sounds, it is the only contol panel I have used. I like add the features included with it and the fact I can add onto it and customize it to suit my needs.
