I know that people have tired of this forum A vs forum B topic, but the two forums I am rating at the moment are OpenBB (especially when version 2 comes out) and FUDForum version 2.5 (soon to be coming out of 2.5.0RC4). The first is just so easy and nice to use, the second has more options than anything I've ever seen. It much more "advanced" than any other forum I've seen so I wouldn't recommend it as a first forum. You can see it at http://www.topfunwebsites.com/forum/ if you are interested. However, the most exciting bits are behind the hood so I suggest you check it out.

Re: Invision VS PHPBBI like PhpBB3. It has very few mods or themes at the moment, as it hasn't gotten a large enough community yet, but it's fast and easy to use. The admin panel is pretty easy, but gives lots of options. Since I'm too cheap to buy a script, I think PhpBB3 is close enough for what I'd need.

Re: Invision VS PHPBBI am a newbie in website programming and haven't code any forum but as a forum visitor I like PHPBB.
One of my favorite forum is about freeware discussion and I like the way they've done it. |
