I already have hopfully I will know something soon. but I'm going to like this board the database and board itself is much smaller now the invision board was 9mb with database the phpbb board is 3mb with database.

Oh yes Hopefully I'll be able to get it up and running I opened a topic on PHPBB forums asking how hard it would be to change the board to allow me to change the admin folder name. I hope I won't need that but just in case.

ok so I'm web host was taking to long so I edited the scripts and fixed it my self. but I finally got it to work. But Jds you will have to
register again sorry but there is no converter for my IBForum board.

That's true - very few websites are using threaded forums these days. But unlike many people, I do not mind posting on threaded forums any more than I do posting on linear forums. (In fact, threaded forums are preferred, since usually, they don't require registration.) There is one thing I hate, though. I despise seeing less popular boards (less than 10 posts a month) using a linear board like IBF and phpBB, especially if they are hosted on a generous free host!

On the Admin problem try CHMOD'ing it to 755 (if you haven't already). All servers are different so you might have to have a bit of artistic licence to get it to work without having to change folder names.

I got the email back from Tech Support this afternoon they told me that there servers use an admin folder and that I would have to rename the folder. I worked witht he board and rename the folder I got it to work. But I found that I didn't much like PHPBB I'm going to continue playing with it on the server but the admin option are not that great and there are very few option at that. I think at this time I may just stick with Invision Board for now.

ok so I laid I've been playing with PHPBB for about a day now and I think I'm going to use it. It is missing some nice Admin options but were if lacks there it makes up for in editing and size the code is easy to understand and change and the database and board are small in size. So I think I'm going to give it a try.
