hows it goin fellas n ladies, ive read a lot of post on these problems with the fx 5600. I like others have the same problems within about 5 minutes into the game... 10 sometimes if im lucky, I will lagout hear the character sounds then return to a chopped textureless game. This problem is horrible. Like everyone else ive done everything (new drivers, uninstall reinstall download the works). I also know it isnt overheating because ive opened my box up placed a fan near it and set it on top of my desk. IT STILL ****ING HAPPENS and im fed up with it now. Ive had this card since last x-mas (2004) and did not have any problems recently untill about 2-3 months ago. It happens in every game I play. my mobo is a a7n8x, the only other thing i havent tested is the bios yet but im about to do that now. If you guys have any more suggestions please let me know. I really dont feel like scrappin the card but if I have to I will. thanks

Does Nvidia have any info? Seems to happen to a lot of people. I personally have an FX5600 but have had no problems.

Even though you put a fan next to it, I wonder if the GPU itself is overheating. Can you tell if the GPU fan is running correctly? Is the card overclocked? Is your system overclocked?

I really can't think of much else, though hopefully someone else can.
