ToddSAFM is on a distinguished road

Hello everybody, I'm new too!

Hi,
My name is Todd. I'm a new member here at GIDForums. I can't believe I've never heard of this place before. It has just about all of my interests all wrapped up into one big ol' forum. Anyway, this is about me, isn't it? So, I'm an 18 yr/old college student from North Carolina. I'm currently attending Wake Technical Community College for Internet Technologies. As of January 2005, I'll be in my second semester there. Yipee.... So I have a little experience with web design, and a tiny bit of C++ programming. My favorite is web graphics though, as I just love to play around with new Photoshop functions.
I have a small time business where I make relatively basic web sites and web graphics for folks. I have a bunch of temporary web sites, but I'm working on one to stay with now, so I'll list two of them...

My older one that was based on just design:
ssprodnc.tripod.com

My newer one, done in XHMTL that focused on 100% handwritten code (its nothing special, I'm just excited cause its actually validated code save for the bozo text link that the web hosting provider put on the site. THat brings up 5 errors on every page)
ssprodnc.1800-webhosting.com

So that's me... Let me know if you have any further questions!

Hello Todd. Welcome to GIDForums™.

I looked at both of your sites. Not that I didn't like the second one, but I liked the first one quite well. I like simplicity with a bit of something different like you have done there.

Not sure if you have seen this yet. We are doing a community programming project mostly for kicks and to see if we can do anything. If you ever wanted to do some work for free, your skills here would be more than welcome . Here is our current web page for the project.

Anyway, I may also want to talk to you about a paying job in a week or two. I'll contact you through your site for that.

Good luck with everything and I hope that you find some good help here.

Cool...

Just let me know anything you need, np, I'm no professional or anything, but I can do my best. Thats what I try at least.

About that second page... I just literally made a new page in Dreamweaver and put some links on it, and sent it up to the server just as a means of holding my portfolios and stuff. Its not really a site that I should display to the public... Just for my photoshop stuff, etc.

So, yeah, my site has all the contact info if you'd like to contact me.

Welcome Todd. That first site is quite cool looking. We could use someone that isn't a graphic er, um... you know, not good at it.
I posted in the graphics forum with some of the basic needs we have for the GIM community project and the links can be found in my signature. A graphics person of any level would be a welcome addition.

Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do!

Mark

Hello Todd,

I am usually not this slow but you know how it is these days! Welcome to GIDForums™ and I've already looked at your sites before typing this reply.

I have very fond memories of Tripod. Every website I manage right now owes it's existence to that very humble website I started with at http://j.desilva.tripod.com back in the 90s.

Good luck with school and with the car. I hope dsmith will pay you well with all that money he keeps stashed away under the bed
