Google Adsense introduces tracking by URLGoogle has recently introduced added tracking functionality for its Adsense publishers. We can now track performance by URLs, without having to change any published code. The key being that you can now enter urls into Google's interface and let them do the tracking.
Here's a quote, straight from the horse's mouth: Quote:
Anyone else tried this out yet? |

Thank you for the news Div.
It took me a few days to figure out just how I am supposed to use this new feature of theirs - maybe I am just slow this month! I have set up the usual channels for a while now (each channel for specific sites or sections off my sites) but this whole URL-channel-thingy confused me a bit. The first thing I thought of doing was to track the homepage, e.g. this very forum's homepage which is www.gidforums.com (without the index.php bit) but as we all now know, that's impossible to do! Finally, I settled for listing out my top 10 web pages (in terms of traffic) and track them instead. What a good idea that was - some nasty surprises in that list for sure. What I mean by that is that there is one particular page that receives hundreds of pageviews a day yet no click for consecutive days! __________________
