ad networks

First - sorry if this is in the wrong place, I didn't know where to put it.

Hi all - sorry I haven't been a long recently.

Since launching my site a little over a year ago, I've gone from 50 hits to 500 to 5,000 to now well over 20,000 page views a day. However, this varies because my site is about a television show, and things go up and down based on the surprise of the episode (is there a cliffhanger? if so, I get more hits) and if there is going to be a new episode or not.

Anyway, I am finally thinking of having ads, after being adless for, well, the history of the site.

I am thinking about the best ad networks for this. I've looked at FocusIN ( focusin.com ) and Burst! Media ( burstmedia.com ) -- but do you have any other suggestions or comments on those two?

Thanks in advance

Ad Network: BurstMedia

I have been using BurstMedia since a while now and I really have nothing to complain. Their rates are one of the best around. There was a time up to 50% of the ads served on my website were default ads (in other words, I made $0 for these ads), but I investigated why this was happening and realised that up to 95% of the available campaigns were geo targeting to only surfers from the US.

So, I ALSO implemented 'GEO targeting' through the ad server I use on the website (phpadsnew), to show BurstMedia ads ONLY to readers from the US (and the UK & Canada) and I get better results overall.

Unlike other networks, BurstMedia only reviews a website based on the content, NOT where the webmaster resides.

I cannot comment on other Ad Networks since they accept only Publishers from selected countries. All these ad networks are banned on this site, so even naming them here is not possible...

I have no experience with 'focusin' but I am going to apply tonight and see what they have to offer... thank you Charlie.

When talking on online advertising/affiliate programs, one has to consider CJ. Yeah, just about all their offerings are based on sales, but they have a very wide variety.
