How do I display <filename>.bmp on the screen?

Hi!
I've been assigned to create a Photo Album application in the university.
I need to know how to display a bitmap file on the screen in MFC.
I tried to look into CBitmap, CDeviceContext, CImageList, but couldnt find it.
All I found is how to display a bitmap image embedded in the exe file, from the .rc file (the resource).
please help!!

imbtf will become famous soon enough
There's a couple of ways to do it. I suppose the assignment comes with some requirements on how you should do it, hints and tips for ways to go about it etc?

Basically, it would involve managing the paint routines yourself.
Have a look at "bitblt"
