Thumbs up

Greetings from Greece

Hello to all,

My name is Pavlos Skoufis, I run my own Internet services http://www.artzweb.net with some highly motivated people and we are also running a couple of general interest websites such as http://www.westhamfans.org which was also featured on UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper. I am currently in Greece (and of Greek origin) and travel between here, London (UK) and Houston (US) frequently.

My experience with search engines and search engine optimisation dates back quite a few years now and have written a few articles on this subject which can be viewed on the http://www.artzweb.net/internet-marketing/resources/index.php section (not trying to advertise, just provide visitors with some insight on such strategies.)

We will be launching our newest addition to our network websites with worldcuplatest.com in a few months time.

It is mainly cloudy and cold these days and probably will stay this way until at least February. There are however days of full sunshine. Temperature is around 13 Celcium at the moment and gets to 5 at night.

Best time to be here is from end of May to middle of October.

Cool... Around here its currently about 40-50 Fahrenheit. I don't know what that comes out to be in Celcius, but we're hoping that it'll snow around Christmas, which I've heard that it appears it may snow a little around Monday... Guess I'll have to just wait it out! I love near freezing temps. I just sit outside at night freezing my butt off.. That's the life...

To get from Fahrenheit to Celsius degrees, you need to apply this formula:
C = ( F - 32) / 1.8

To get from Fahrenheit degrees to Kelvins, you need to apply this formula:
K = ( F + 459.67) / 1.8

Now, to get from Kelvins to Celsius degrees, all you need to do is (shocking!):
C = K - 273.15

Motivations:

The Celsius scale agreed to set for point 0 the freezing point of water, and for 100 degrees the boiling point of water - logical
The Kelvin scale agreed to set for point 0 the temperature at which all molecular motion completely ceases (scary) - pretty logical
The Fahrenheit scale doesn't agree with anything, and set the freezing point of water to 32 degrees, and the boiling point of water to 212 degrees!

"You americans" and your strange systems

Bottom line:
40 degrees Fahrenheit == 4.(4) degrees Celsius
50 degrees Fahrenheit == 10 degrees Celsius (source)

Unfortunately, this Christmas was one of the very few when it didn't snow in Romania

And, for the only thing important in my post: Welcome to GIDForums™, Pavlos!

Best regards,
Luci

P.S: The Fahrenheit scale probably has a good motivation, I just don't know it

Thanks LuciWiz!

I agree about the strangeness of the Fahrenheit system as well...
I didn't make it, I was just born into it I guess..
