NASA = Need Another Seven Astronauts!?Can you all believe it?! The US Space Program has managed to do it again! Another 7 astronauts were killed this morning as the space shuttle Challenger broke up while re-entering the atmosphere to land at Kennedy Space Center...

Yes, it was morning for me, sorry I had left for my grandmothers for the day right after I posted this...It is really bad yes, but when you look at the long term it's not so bad, the US Space Program has only lost a total of 17 astronauts (3 on the ground) in a little over 40 years which is an AMAZING track record when you consider how dangerous space travel really is...

I am such a fan of the Space Shuttle program, so I am aware of their 'safety' record.
Why, just last week, I was watching this documentary about the Shuttles and how they had to make major safety+design changes after the Challenger disaster. It was terrible watching the news last night and the video clip of the shuttle breaking up like that? I can't get the thought out of my head... __________________
