w32/generic.worm.b infectionHey,
on my server i located a hidden file called mousemx which contains all the known .exe files. it has replaced all my exe files and the exe icons with a cheese icon. in the registry the path for the .exe files are changed as well. i deleted them, changed the paths in the registry, removed it from the start up. Nothing happened. i searched all the known providers for removal tools and so on, nothing found. In did an online scan with mcafee and the result was that it found 26 files but when i click on the files to view the result mcafee tells me that no match could be found. HEEEELLLLPPPPP. thanks |

This seems to be a new worm. I was able to find this page. I hope it is able to help you. If this isn't able to help please let me know and I will look into this a little more and see if I can come up with more.

If it's new, you can check Symantec's Response page and see if there's a fix, or submit it for investigation.
