It takes time for your site to get a ranking, it's almost normal to have NO backlinks as per Google for a couple of months at least, so why worry?

Sorry JDS I'm not on the computer with the toolbar but earlier on today it was down to 4 maybe it was a minor glitch etc etc.
BTW when did you get your site DMOZ'd? If it was after 23rd September then it has never been indexed as the RDF went head over t*t and hasn't appeared properly until now. Its still not fully sorted until next week and Google won't be searching through it for another month. Just thought I'd give you some news.

1. The site was not on the list at the time the bot was visiting GIDTopsites™.
2. The site appears on a 'multi-page' list and at the bottom of the ranking - since the possibility that being on the last page means that it's the newest page generated by GIDTopsites and will not have a decent Page Rank.
