cd burner not recognizedHi folks,
I found this site during a Google search. Hope you can help. Here's my problem. I have a TDK 24/10/40x cd burner that I use occaisonaly. Recently it has started acting up.. Not sure if it's Windows (XP Pro/SP2) or the drive itself. When I first turn the computer on and go to My Computer, it shows up as CD Drive (E Like I said, this just started recently (last couple of weeks). Any ideas as to what might be causing it to be recognized one time and not another? Thanks. Greg |

Most likely it's a Registry issue or driver issue. You can try reinstalling/upgrading the drivers; you might also consider using a Registry cleaner program (PCWorld and TUCOWS are good places to start). Someone else may have a better answer, but those are where I'd start.
