Web design by hand

Found the link below today. Thought it might be useful for beginners and people who haven't hand-coded before. It's fairly simplistic, but it covers most of the beginning HTML ideas and doesn't get "lost in code" like other tutorials.

Looks good. But when discussing web design most people forget that there are two sides of creating a web site. First one is to create simple HTML, other to draw the web pages.

Each of them require different skills. I'm good in writing HTML code using Notepad or other simple text editor but I always need someone to create the visual concept and to draw it using Corel or Adobe product.

So in most cases a good web sites need to be made from at least 2 professionals.

Best Regards
Dimitar

Thank you very much for that link also it is very useful, although many websites are now built with specific programs which don’t ask of you to know html for designing a website. However having a basic knowledge of html is very precious as there are some issues that cannot be fixed just automatically :-)

I've known about the following site for quite a few years now and, judging by the responses to my original post, it may be beneficial for many people. HTML Goodies has many primers and tutorials covering HTML, Javascript, web graphics, CSS, etc. and is one of the places I use on a regular basis when creating web sites. Even if you use Dreamweaver or similar, it still has good ideas.

If all you want is lists of tags and their attributes then http://freespace.virgin.net/sizzling...i/iniframe.htm is another site that I've used extensively. The do have tutorials, but mainly having a list of what goes with what at your fingertips is a real plus.
