Re: superuser.netI had a site host with this superuser.net. Here is what my best experience with them:
March 21, 2007, it's servers dated back to March 11-2007. After that, every 10 days it's server time sets lback another 10 days. As a result, on May-2007 my site was no longer working due to over bandwidth limit. Now is June 2007, it's clock is still March- 2007. I gave up on this guy after a month trying to contact for support. I gave up on fighting to get my half years of servive credit. I gave up on my data, I had to use one of my backup to get my site back online at another hosting service. LUCKY ME, I did not have my Domain name at their service otherwise they would steal my domain as they did to my half year of hosting service. So my advice to any who trying to host at this superuser.net is do a search on Google: "superuser.net review" then read them very carefull !!! |

FollowupUpdate
I terminated my account almost a full month prior to renewal with at least 10 emails to billing and support with no response to anything. Then come my annual renewal date and I have been getting an invoice every two days to the same email address I used to send my discontinue notices. I had deleted all files on superusers.net server's and redirected traffic to new provider a few days before the end of April 2007 on both accounts. The 2nd account was not due for renewal yet so they are only billing on the one. If superuser had a good charge card number they would be charging my card illegally. I had called my bank and forewarned them of this possibility. I even forwarded superuser.net one of the prior emails to discontinue service, reminding them that I had terminated both accounts using proper methods and identification. I have called and complained to the Sheriff's Department and District Attorneys office of Loudoun County Virginia (Leesburg) with no response, as I think this could now be fraud or fall under some other illegal statute. All these facts are truthful and I have retained all emails . |

Re: superuser.netMy website went down in February because superuser didn't renew it as it was supposed to according to my contract and the way they had done previously since 2002. I renewed my domain name through dotregister back in March after my site went down because superuser didn't renew it. It came back online a day or so later.
I decided to get a new domain and a new webhost, so in June I began sending superuser notices of non-renewal of my website which expires Sept 12th. No response. I also wrote to my credit card company telling them superuser and network solutions are no longer authorized to charge anything to my credit card. Several weeks ago, both my website and superuser.net's website went down and haven't resurfaced. I found this out when I went to my site to begin taking down all my information that was posted there. I guess now it's floating in outer space. As of now, I've received no response or explanation from superuser. NetworkSolutions is still online, however. I spoke to someone at dotregister and had no problem getting my domain name put in my name only, so the name still belongs to me. |
