ODP editors

How many of you here are ODP editors?

For thos who don't know, ODP stands for Open Directory Project (http://www.dmoz.org).

How many of you applied but were rejected, and why?

For those who are editors, what's it like being one? What's special about you that gives you the 'editor' quality over others? Any tips you can give that may help others become editors? How many times did you apply before finally getting submitted? What's the organisational structure within the editor family? What does it take to progress up the ranks?

Do tell us.
