Difference in top and apache status data for CPU usage

Why the CPU usage values are entirely different if I use a top and apache status.Top shows around 2 % cpu usage for httpd process, while apache status shows somethig like
CPU Usage: u33.05 s144.42 cu1409.76 cs1089.04 - 89.6% CPU load
How to intrepret the above line.
Thanks!!!
