Angry

Theres no stopping it!!!

Arrgggg I hate windows!!!!
Some spam viruses or whatever have been downloaded onto my harddrive. They completely take over windows so I re-install windows and the same erros occur. The errors are mainly related to the interenet so only when I dial-up do these erros occur. So at first I thought it was explorer (finally realizing how the viruses are make to to f*** bill gates over, naimly MSLAUGH.exe) so I downloaded mozzila firefox. On top of that I install Norton Anti-virus and Norton Internet Security to add a personal firewall.

Now on top of all those precautions...I spend 45 min online and about 20MG of data is being uploaded while only about 2MB of data was downloaded for the sites i am viewing!!! This happens everytime!!! So now if I want to surf at all, I have to disable the firewall...the interent don't work if I have Norten Internet enabled. What the hell is being uploaded/sent and to where??!!!

Is there not a program out there can find the malicious code and DELETE IT once and for all cos even after LiveUpdate Norton just doesn't cut it. Whenever i'm on the net I see a program screen open for a split second and close....there is obviosuly something very wrong happening..should I give up and install XP which has better security feautues? At the mo i'm using Win 2000. Any help greatly greatly and intensly appreciated...

You can get copies of anti-spyware programs and see if there's anything on your drive. For a firewall I'd recommend ZoneAlarm from ZoneLabs.

When you reinstalled Windows, did you do a quick or full format first? A full format will ensure nothing is left behind; a quick only deletes the "table of contents" so the data will still be there.

Just a thought,

DL 'Clean up'

DL 'CWS Shedder'

DL Spybot (if you dont have already)
Set spyboy to search in achived files

Update spybot, and your default Virus program (hopefully not Norton)

Reboot to safe mode and run those programs in the order listed above.

for one what site are u using, usually sites that offer things for free have spyware cause thats how they make money. allowing spyware companys to put it one that site. addictinggames.com is a really bad one. just try and stay off of those sites.

For your kind information windows XP has more threats and it takes more resources. Mainly using windows is getting difficult day by day but it’s the only Operating System which is used widely and has a large support of hardware.
