I have wondered for awhile now, how many people out their actually do not have flash installed, or have flash installed but disabled?

I voted yes, but it usually takes me a year or so after I get a new computer to put it on. I avoid it until I absolutely have to see something.

Interesting point. I noticed that every single new computer since XP was released, comes with Flash.

I think this has had the biggest impact on the number of people with Flash.

I usually wait to install it also, but since only a few sites require it for access, I usually disable it to kill flash ads.

So you actually disable Flash for the sole purpose of not viewing the Flash ads?

You would prefer to see a message saying this page requires flash or a nasty box with a plugin logo in it?

This is actually the moment in time when I install flash!! (I mean after I re-instaled my OS or just Mozilla).
However, I did vote "Yes" since I currently have it installed.

I usually don't get adds, as they are blocked by my company's proxy

Kind regards,
Luci

As long as it's not an obnoxious ad, I usually don't worry about it. But I find the ones w/ lots of animation distracting.

If I don't already have the plugin installed, then I look to see if there's an HTML version of the page. To me, it's all just eye candy; I just want the information from a site, not the fluff. If Flash isn't required to get what I want, then yes, I will accept the "nasty box". There's only been a handful of sites that I've looked at that made it worth my while to install Flash.

For what it's worth, yes, I would rather see a message or the plugin logo. 99.9% of the time whatever is in "flash" is more annoying the message .
