Hi everyone

I use nero 6.125 and when i try to burn something i get an error message that says: power calibration error and later says - could not perform end track - itried to burn an empty disk and a multisession disk' tried 2 different media ' and in both cases - both media and both burn types - i got the same error messages.I have an ATAPI CD-RW 52XMax cd burner-though in the store where I bought it it's called MSI- what's the real name of the manufacturer???

also, my cd-burner can only burn at 4-speed max!!!

Does anybody know what the problem is and what can be done? - TIA

Normally this error is do to one or more of the following: 1. Try a different brand of CD CompUSA, TDK's, Memorex, or Sony they are in my option some of the best. 2. Try cleaning the burners lens. 3. Try different software like Easy CD Creator, I personally have had nothing but problems with Nero. 4. If none of the above work you can try upgrade the firmware of the drive if you go to the manufacturer's website or http://www.cdfreaks.com and look up your drive you should be able to find the firmware and how to on installing it. Although I have never upgraded the firmware of a burner before you may need to find out more about it before trying it.
