*IMPORTANT* info on Buying Desktop ComputersHi Guys,
I am a new guy here, I think I may help peoples buy good yet cheap desktop computer systems and computer parts. Here I will discuss **How to buy good yet cheap DESKTOP COMPUTERS**. Without wasting any time lets get started. Choosing Cheap Desktop Computer is not an easy task for even a mature computer specialist because nearly every month or so any or many of the configurations of desktop computer changes and it is not easy to keep pace with it, many new hardware and components gets added to the desktop computer that it is almost impossible to know of everything going on in the field of desktop computer. But dont get dissapointed because you'll get all the latest information about all these at my WEBSITE given at the end of this article. If you're interested in saving some money all you have to do is buy a cheap desktop computer that just does what you want and nothing more and most importantly buy it from a Trusted Resseler and thats what my WEBSITE does, to take you the right resselers For example I keep seeing adverts for desktop computers with DVD drives... If I wanted to watch a movie I would want to see it on my television screen not on my desktop computer. If you want to use your desktop computer for Reading and sending e-mails, Surfing the Internet, Word processing, Graphics designing, Basic 3D modeling etc .etc(More specific List are given in my WEBSITE) you should buy A Pentium 4 1.6 GHz or less or an equivalent AMD Athlon XP which costs much lesser. A decent speed CD RW. A decent 15 inch monitor. 128 MB of memory although 192 MB is recommended. 40 GB hard disk. etc. etc. I am feeling very sorry because I am able to giving only a part of the buying guide here due to space limitations if you want detailed buying guide you may go to my WEBSITE. I don't totally agreeWell, apart from being an ad, the general idea is good. I'd agree that keeping track of latest gear is difficult; right now I couldn't tell you the major differences between the newest video cards on the market.
(Note: the below are my personal opinions on computer tech and not to be construed as dissing the original author.) I'd disagree about the DVD drive. Software DVD's are starting to appear more, and many movies have some sort of computer program on the disc, whether it's a game or additional info. And some people (thinking college kids) may only have a computer for all their entertainment needs. Plus, w/ the latest big screen monitors coming out, using a computer for watching movies isn't that bad of an idea. Not to mention the whole DVD burner idea. I would also say that for graphics and 3D design, the more the better. Especially if you're editing movies, the best gear on the market is probably what most people want. Real-time editing is a nice thing. Quote:
The CDRW is fine, but the monitor is kinda small. And w/ prices dropping you can get a larger screen for not much more. Unless space is at a premium, more is better; even if you only do WIE, it's nice to have more real estate. Get the most memory you can afford. Even WIE can start to bog down if the system starts using virtual memory on the HD; there's many times at work that I have to wait for the system when all I have open is a browser and Word window open and my office system has 128. In the same idea, get the biggest HD you can afford. They're cheap and the larger drives have the latest tech (bigger buffers, faster rpms, etc.) I do admit it is overkill, but you won't have to upgrade for a while. I have a 40GB drive w/ XP on it and only 1/2 filled, and a 13GB drive w/ Linux that's maybe 1/3 filled. I've had my system for nearly 4 years now. __________________
