Sage problem. My boss recently had her laptop give up the ghost.
i pulled out her harddrive and put it into an external hard drive holder than transferred all the data to her new laptop. both are running windows XP so I cant just put the old one in because of microsofts anti piracy crap with hardware id thingy. anyway she wants to run sage payroll (and i want to get paid) when she clicks on the program it says application unable to start because SGSTAT32.dll was not found, re installing this app may fix this problem. Is there any way to fix this (besides reinstall). there is no SGSTAT32.dll on the drive and no info about it on the net. |

AFAIK, even if you could find the "bare" .dll, just loading it onto the drive wouldn't necessarily help. Usually apps have to be installed so that everything is put in the right location and the Windows registry updated.
I haven't created an installable app yet, so I don't know if there's something I'm missing. All I'm able to go on is when I tried to copy a program from one drive to another and it didn't work. Is there a reason why you can't reinstall the app? __________________

Re: Sage problem.Use task manager to make sure the program is not running as a process and make sure it's not set up to run on startup. Then try to reinstall it; it could just be a glitch.
