Can i simulate a mouse/keyboard?I am wondering if there is such a device that will allow me to "trick" the BIOS of a PC that i have a real mouse/keyboard plugged into the PC.
I have an IBM server that is running Win 2k and terminal services and i want to put it in a closet where it cannot be attached to a mouse or keyboard. Unfortuinately, without the mouse/keyboard plugged in i cannot reboot the machine or even get to windows. I prefer not to mess with the BIOS settings at this point. IS there something that i can buy and plug in the mouse/keyboard ports that will allow me to bypass the check for these devices. If there is such device, please let me know what it's called and where i can find it. Thank you in advance! |

Here's a couple links I found: using WinNT, using Linux, using Win2k.
I know you're using Win2k, but the other's may give you additional insight, if needed. __________________

From the Bios of the server you can go into the start up errors and you will see there an option which is says: hold on all errors and you must change it into hold on all but keyboard.
It will neglect that you do not have any keyboard mouse detached and will load up to the logging screen |
