The Register has an article here, wherein Andrew Orlowski (TheReg SanFran bureau chief) spoke at a UK convention for music executives.

He has many valid points, and I have to agree w/ nearly everything he says. Unless the RIAA et al. wake up to the digital age, they'll get left behind. I also like some of the visions he has for future music tech. He also advocates stopping the ludicrious lawsuits against P2P users and just finding a way to use the sharing to make money.
