Boot of external harddriveI need to boot a computer off an external USB2 hard drive, anyone able to give me any help?

So far as I know, as long as your BIOS is set up to allow it, it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think it would be very different than using a USB keyring drive. Just make sure you have a boot file on the drive.

I forgot to mention it was winows XP on the drive.
it wont work because of microsofts anti piracy crap. A pirated version of XP is probably better to have. i will just have to install linux on it now. God I hate microsoft. |
