I am new here. First and foremost thank you so much for this wonderful site.

I have a windows XP with cd-burner and cd-rom. Last night, I took my cd-rom and replaced by the dvd-rom. But they don't show up in MY COMPUTER the cd-burner drive is gone and dvd-rom drive is not even there. My cd-burner was working before. Please advice

Did you make sure the jumper settings on the drives are correct? The new CD/DVD drives that I have bought have normally been set to master. If both your DVD and CD Drives were set to master it could cause this problem.
