Noticed a HUGE change in PayPal recently

I have noticed a HUGE change in PayPal recently. I guess all of the lawsuites finally had them clean up their act.

Well.. it is about time. I am happy to continue to use paypal just because it works for what I do. They seem to be able to handle all of my payments, and now my clients do not even need to signup with PayPal in order to be charged.

Lawsuits. Finally cleaning you their act. Maybe, maybe not.

When I was accosted with requestes to get the PayPal credit card, the first thing I noticed was the card is from Proividian. I had a Providian card, and twice received money because of lawsuits made on the behalf of cardholders. This seems to be a standard thing with them.

Any guess what card I no longer own?

I think the fact that eBay bought PayPal, they made PayPal clean up their act. eBay/PayPal are very much tied together now.

I haven't heard/experienced a billing problem with PayPal in a long time, it has to be almost a year or so now.

So you were receiving money on your card for doing nothing but having the card? And then you got rid of it?!?!?

My biggest gripe with PayPal is the requirement that an individual must be responsible for the account -- and the group or company can't be. I'm treasurer of a club and when I step down we have to jump through so many hoops to tale me off the account and put someone else on it's not worth it! And you can only get $500 from your account at a time! They keep the rest hijacked.

Well, yeah. No telling how much money they snookered out of me that those lawsuits didn't touch! Don't think I want to do business with a company that has lawsuits that aren't frivolous -- that they actually lose!

You can only withdraw $500 at a time??? Is that the monthly limit or like a daily limit? I seem to have missed this little detail somewhere...

There is a $500 withdraw limit to new accounts that do not verify certain things.

Need two of the three. And our Tax ID is not acceptable -- they want to come after a person obviously...
