XP Service Pack 2 Breaks Some Programs

http://support.microsoft.com/default...t=windowsxpsp2

This page contains a list of known problem programs on the SP2 update... the article indicates that it "...affect the operations and functionality of some programs."

Including:

Photoshop Elements
Cute FTP 5.0
Outlook (2000+)
Excel 2003
Installshield
Diskeeper
2 versions of Quicken
several McAffee programs
two versions of MSN
MS-Office (various)
Visual Basic
Visuall C++
Visual Studio
Real Player
several Symantec products (Norton, etc)
Yahoo IM
Zone Alarm

These are just a few of the ones that stood out to me.

I guess I left the biggest one off the list.
