Drivers for multimedia audio controllerWell Im back. Machine running quite well apart from the 2 yellow question marks in the device manager:-
"PCI Simple Communications Controller" "Multimedia Audio Controller" As the machine was given to me I dont know what piece of hardware is in the machine. How do I find this out? (Without taking it apart!!) I assume you usually get a Disk with the Drivers on for these things. I havent got one. Anyone know any good sites to download them from? Just for the record what do these two things actually do?? Thanks Vicky |

It just means that Windows has detected a sound card (component?) and a modem/network card that it cannot detect.
Download a diagnostics utility like Everest - used to be AIDA from http://www.lavalys.com/products/over...ng=en&pageid=1 for a better idea on what the component might be. |

For drivers, look at www.drivers.com or www.driverguide.com.
